Pecos Cyber Academy (PCA) is proud to offer a robust selection of Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) that provide students with hands-on, real-world experiences beyond the virtual classroom. Our CTSOs promote leadership, teamwork, and professional development, equipping students with the skills needed for future careers and personal growth.
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are student-led organizations that integrate leadership training with career preparation, giving students valuable tools for personal and professional growth. These organizations bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application by providing opportunities to participate in hands-on projects, service initiatives, and competitive events at the local, state, and national levels. CTSOs foster a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork while encouraging students to explore career interests and build lasting networks with peers and industry professionals.
Through these experiences, students develop essential skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership. In addition, CTSOs promote personal development by building confidence, resilience, and a strong work ethic—traits that are critical in both academic and career environments. Whether through public speaking competitions, leadership conferences, or community outreach projects, CTSOs empower students to become active, engaged citizens who are prepared to lead in their future careers and communities.
At PCA, we offer five CTSOs designed to empower students across different career paths. Whether your interests lie in business, healthcare, education, or STEM, there is a CTSO for you!
Our students engage in competitive events, collaborative projects, and networking opportunities with peers across New Mexico. These experiences reinforce classroom learning while developing leadership and critical thinking skills. Each CTSO is supported by faculty sponsors at both the high school and middle school levels, ensuring students have guidance and mentorship every step of the way.
To participate in a CTSO, students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Currently, Gail Humphrey serves as PCA’s High School CTE Coordinator and is available to answer any questions about our CTSO programs.
